Overview
The Furusiyya Art Foundation is a collection of over a thousand works of art from the 8th to the 18th centuries; it possesses important material not found in other collections or museums.
The curator Bashir Mohamed, a founder of the Islamic Department of Spink and Sons Ltd, acted as the buyer and Islamic art consultant up until 1980. After a stint at Oxford University he devoted his time to acquire and consult for the foundation.
Working inline with Bashir's direction from 2009 to 2010, Juga Singh provided location photography at one of the collection's international storage facilities situated in London.
